Railroad Safety Program
The NDOT Railroad Safety Program is considered the administrative agency for the State of Nevada for all public at-grade railroad crossings. The program is required to conduct and systematically maintain a survey, which identifies those railroad crossings that may require separation, relocation, or protective devices, and establish and implement a schedule of projects for this purpose. The NDOT Railroad Safety section maintains a crossing inventory database, including information about warning devices and signage, for each public crossing in Nevada.

The health and safety of our team and fellow Nevadans is top priority. In accordance with Gov. Steve Sisolak’s order for state offices to transition to online and over-the-phone service, NDOT has temporarily suspended in-person services and transitioned them on-line to help reduce potential spread of the COVID-19 virus. We look forward to serving you here!
