Property Auctions
When property has been acquired and the property or any portion of the property is no longer needed for highway purposes, NRS statutes authorize a sale in combination at public auction or by sealed bids. The highest bid received must be 90 percent or more of the Department’s appraisal of the fair market value of the property, then the property may be sold to the highest bidder. Those interested in properties that come up for auction can call and have their name placed on a notification list. Properties will be listed on this site when information and dates becomes available.
