Staff interacts with department stakeholders to gather business workflows and requirements. Recently, the department's Stormwater Division included technology staff assigned to this unit to carry out the implementation of an Asset Management and Stormwater Inspection and Reporting System.

BUILD: Enterprise Application Development & Support

Our BUILD unit is responsible for the development and maintenance of custom applications, Business Intelligence (BI) reporting and analytics, as well as a rapidly increasing role in our enterprise GIS. The unit currently operates fully under the agile SCRUM framework. The unit has recently adopted the use of MVC and C# as the primary coding language and uses JQuery and BootStrap, but still supports multiple systems built on multiple versions of legacy languages such as ASP and VB6.

RUN: Infrastructure & Operational Support

Our RUN unit is responsible for the operation, installation, maintenance, and general support of all the agency’s servers, networking, database, telecommunications, video conferencing, service desk, desktop, and mobile device support (with the exception of the Intelligence Transportation Systems run out of the Traffic Operations Technology unit). We primarily deploy Dell, Avaya, and Microsoft technologies and work to stay no less than one version back from current releases. The unit also supports several Oracle products and Apple mobile devices.
