215 Beltway Segment Closed Nightly April 1-5 in Northwest Las Vegas
LAS VEGAS, NEV. – The Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT) will close the 215 Beltway in both directions between Oso Blanca Road and Sky Pointe Drive from 8 p.m. until 5 a.m. nightly, starting the evening of April 1 and concluding the morning of April 6, in northwest Las Vegas.
The temporary closures are needed to safely remove falsework from the new northbound U.S. Highway 95 to westbound 215 Beltway flyover, plus place concrete atop the southbound U.S. Highway 95 to eastbound 215 Beltway bridge deck structure. The work is part of the $73 million next phase of the Centennial Bowl that broke ground in January 2019. Las Vegas Paving is the general contractor. The project calls for building new freeway flyover ramps, connecting the eastbound 215 Beltway to U.S. Highway 95 southbound and U.S. Highway 95 northbound to the 215 Beltway westbound. The project is scheduled to finish this fall.
Motorists should use caution while travelling through the work zone, heed construction signage, and take alternate detour routes, if possible. NDOT works with Waze to inform the public about planned highway restrictions, but unscheduled construction changes, closures and restrictions are possible due to weather or other factors.
