CARSON CITY, Nev. – The Nevada Department of Transportation reminds all Nevadans that there are no Nevada state highway closures in place related to public health. Following Wednesday’s earthquake in the Salt Lake City area, all Nevada state routes into Utah also remain open, including Interstate 80 and State Route 233.

Winter driving conditions are in effect in some areas of northeastern Nevada. Drivers are encouraged to view Nevada highway conditions, including weather and road construction-related information, by logging onto or dialing 511 before driving. Utah highway conditions are available at

While state roads remain open, Nevadans are encouraged to eliminate all non-essential gatherings and stay home as possible to reduce potential spread of COVID-19. Other road safety measures could be taken in the future if NDOT, in consultation with the Nevada Department of Health and Human Services, deem it necessary to protect public health.
