U.S. Highway 95 SB Offramp Closed Dec. 18-19 in Northwest Las Vegas
LAS VEGAS, NEV. – The Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT) will close the southbound U.S. Highway 95 offramp to Centennial Center Boulevard from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m., December 18, and again from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m., December 19, in northwest Las Vegas.
The temporary closures are needed to safely remove falsework as part of the $73 million next phase of the “Centennial Bowl” interchange that broke ground in January. Las Vegas Paving is the general contractor. The project calls for construction an east-to-south bridge as well as a north-to-west connector that is the equivalent length of seven football fields laid end-to-end, among other improvements. The project is scheduled to finish in late Summer 2020.
Motorists should use caution while travelling through the work zone, heed construction signage, and take alternate detour routes, if possible. NDOT works with Waze to inform the public about planned highway restrictions, but unscheduled construction changes, closures and restrictions are possible due to weather or other factors.
