Rebuilt Boulder Highway Bridge Reopens Nov. 15-16 in Henderson
HENDERSON, NEV. – The Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT) has completed a $2.45 million bridge reconstruction of southbound Boulder Highway (State Route 582) over the northbound Interstate 11 off-ramp in Henderson. Fisher Sand & Gravel was the general contractor.
Friday, November 15
- North and southbound Boulder Highway will reopen with two lanes in each direction between Wagonwheel Drive and Magic Way at noon, November 15, in Henderson.
Saturday, November 16
- The northbound Interstate 11 off-ramp will reopen at noon, November 16, in Henderson.
The two-lane 204-foot long bridge project, which began in March, had rerouted traffic onto College Drive during construction. The aging bridge was demolished due to structural fatigue and settling and rebuilt with anew with a concrete cast-in-place box girder structure.
Motorists should use caution while travelling through the work zone, heed construction signage, and take alternate detour routes, if possible. NDOT works with Waze to inform the public about planned highway restrictions, but unscheduled construction changes, closures and restrictions are possible due to weather or other factors.
