“Spaghetti Bowl” Nightly Ramp Closures October 21-22 in Downtown Las Vegas

Post Date:10/18/2019 3:26 PM

LAS VEGAS, NEV. – The Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT) will close the following “Spaghetti Bowl” interchange ramps in downtown Las Vegas.

October 21-22 (Monday Night – Tuesday Morning)

  • The Interstate 15 northbound to U.S. Highway 95 southbound ramp will be closed from 10 p.m., October 21, until 5 a.m., October 22.

October 22-23 (Tuesday Night – Wednesday Morning)

  • The Interstate 15 southbound to U.S. Highway 95 northbound ramp will be closed from 10 p.m., October 22, until 5 a.m., October 23.

The temporary closures are needed for moving barrier rail as part of Project Neon’s remaining punch-list work. The nearly $1 billion 4-mile-long Interstate 15 upgrade from the U.S. 95 interchange to Sahara Avenue was finished earlier this summer. Kiewit Infrastructure West Co. was the design-build general contractor, with Atkins North America as lead designer. A punch-list is a document prepared near the end of a construction project listing work not conforming to contract specifications that must be completed prior to final payment.

Motorists should use caution while travelling through the work zone, heed construction signage, and take alternate detour routes, if possible. Check the Project Neon website ( or Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter pages (@NDOTProjectNeon) for up to date information. NDOT works with Waze to inform the public about planned highway restrictions, but unscheduled construction changes, closures and restrictions are possible due to weather or other factors. For the latest state highway conditions, visit or call 511 before driving.
