“Spaghetti Bowl” Evening Ramp Closure September 30 in Downtown Las Vegas
LAS VEGAS, NEV. – The Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT) will close the U.S. Highway 95 southbound to Interstate 15 southbound ramp from 10 p.m., September 30, until 5 a.m., October 1, in downtown Las Vegas.
The temporary closure is needed for placing a bridge deck overlay as well as other Project Neon-related punch-list work. The nearly $1 billion 4-mile-long Interstate 15 upgrade from the U.S. 95 interchange to Sahara Avenue was completed this summer. Kiewit Infrastructure West Co. was the design-build general contractor, with Atkins North America as lead designer. A punch-list is a document prepared near the end of a project detailing work not conforming to contract specifications that the general contractor must complete prior to final payment.
Motorists should use caution while travelling through the work zone, heed construction signage, and take alternate detour routes, if possible. Check the Project Neon website (NDOTProjectNeon.com) or Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter pages (@NDOTProjectNeon) for up to date information. NDOT works with Waze to inform the public about planned highway restrictions, but unscheduled construction changes, closures and restrictions are possible due to weather or other factors.
