Lake Mead Parkway Nightly Lane Restrictions, Paving Upgrades Sept. 29-Nov. 8 in Henderson
HENDERSON, NEV. – The Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT) will reduce Lake Mead Parkway (State Route 564) down to one travel lane in each direction between Boulder Highway (State Route 582) and Interstate 515 in Henderson from 7 p.m. until 5 a.m., Sunday evening through Friday morning, beginning the night of September 29 and concluding early November 8.
The temporary lane restrictions are needed for two miles of asphalt pavement improvements that include, among other things, handicap ramp enhancements. Las Vegas Paving is the general contractor under a $4.4 million construction contract.
Motorists should use caution while travelling through the work zone, heed construction signage, and take alternate detour routes, if possible. NDOT works with Waze to inform the public about planned highway restrictions, but unscheduled construction changes, closures and restrictions are possible due to weather or other factors.
