I-15 Southbound Highland Drive Offramp Closure Sept. 3-4 in Las Vegas
LAS VEGAS, NEV. –The Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT) will close the Interstate 15 southbound offramp to Highland Drive from 8 p.m., September 3, until 8 p.m., September 4, in Las Vegas. Additionally, the U.S. Highway 95 southbound to Interstate 15 southbound collector-distributor road access to Highland Drive will also be closed during the same time frame.
The temporary closures are needed for pavement repairs related to remaining Project Neon punch-list work. The nearly $1 billion 4-mile-long Interstate 15 upgrade from the U.S. 95 interchange to Sahara Avenue was largely completed earlier this month. Kiewit Infrastructure West Co. was the design-build general contractor, with Atkins North America as lead designer.
Motorists should use caution while travelling through the work zone, heed construction signage, and take alternate detour routes, if possible. Check the Project Neon website (NDOTProjectNeon.com) or Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter pages (@NDOTProjectNeon) for up to date information. NDOT works with Waze to inform the public about planned highway restrictions, but unscheduled construction changes, closures and restrictions are possible due to weather or other factors.
