Durango Drive-North U.S. 95 Onramp Closure May 14-15 NW in Las Vegas

Post Date:05/14/2019 8:42 AM

LAS VEGAS, NEV. – The Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT) will close the Durango Drive to northbound U.S. Highway 95 onramp from 9 p.m., May 14, until 3 p.m., May 15, in northwest Las Vegas:

The temporary closure is needed for open grade paving work as part of a $78 million, six-mile-long widening and upgrade of U.S. Highway 95 between Ann and Kyle Canyon roads that broke ground in January 2018. Las Vegas Paving is the general contractor. The project calls for expanding the highway from four to six lanes from Durango Drive to Kyle Canyon Road, constructing Elkhorn Road carpool access ramps and building a diverging diamond interchange at Kyle Canyon Road. The project is scheduled to finish June 20.

Motorists should use caution while travelling through the work zone, heed construction signage, and take alternate detour routes, if possible. NDOT works with Waze to inform the public about planned highway restrictions, but unscheduled changes, closures and restrictions are possible due to weather or other factors. For the latest state highway conditions, visit nvroads.com or call 511 before driving.
