I-15 Northbound Lane Closures Monday Night in Clark County
CLARK COUNTY, NEV. – The Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT) will close two travel lanes along northbound Interstate 15 between Cactus Avenue and St. Rose Parkway from 7 p.m., March 11, until 4 a.m., March 12, in Clark County.
The temporary closure is needed to remove barrier rail as part of the $34 million Interstate 15 / Starr Avenue interchange project, which broke ground in November 2017. Las Vegas Paving is the general contractor. The new interchange will relieve growing traffic congestion at Cactus Avenue and St. Rose Parkway for improved traffic circulation. Improvements call for completing Starr Avenue between Las Vegas Boulevard to the east, and Dean Martin Drive to the west, while adding new drought tolerant landscaping and drainage upgrades, among other enhancements. Work is scheduled to finish this summer.
Motorists should use caution while travelling through the work zone, heed construction signage, and take alternate detour routes, if possible. NDOT works with Waze to inform the public about planned highway restrictions, but unscheduled construction changes, closures and restrictions are possible due to weather or other factors.
