I-15 Northbound Offramp to U.S. 93 Closed Monday Night in Clark County
CLARK COUNTY, NEV. – The Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT) will close the Interstate 15 northbound offramp to U.S. Highway 93 from 7 p.m., October 29, until 7 a.m., October 30, in Clark County.
The temporary closure is needed for earthwork and paving activity as part of the new $58 million Interstate 15 / U.S. Highway 93 Garnet Interchange project that broke ground earlier this year. Plans call for building a modified diverging diamond interchange, plus widening U.S. Highway 93 from a two-lane highway to a four-lane divided highway for five miles from the new Garnet Interchange to just north of Apex Power Parkway, among other improvements. Ames Construction is the design-build general contractor, with Horrocks Engineers as lead designer. The project should reach substantial completion by December.
Motorists should use caution while travelling through the work zone, heed construction signage, and take alternate detour routes, if possible. NDOT works with Waze to inform the public about planned highway restrictions, but unscheduled construction changes, closures and restrictions are possible due to weather or other factors.
