I-15 Lane Restrictions Extend to Russell Road Starting Tonight in Las Vegas
LAS VEGAS, NEV. – The Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT) will extend the north and southbound Interstate 15 inside lane restrictions between Sahara Avenue and Flamingo Road down to Russell Road beginning at 10 p.m., October 1, and remain in place until January 2019.
The lane restrictions are needed for Active Traffic Management (ATM) sign installation as part of as part of “The Main Event,” the third and final phase of work for Project Neon’s nearly $1 billion 4-mile-long widening of Interstate 15 from the U.S. 95 interchange to Sahara Avenue. Kiewit Infrastructure West Co. is the design-build general contractor, with Atkins North America as lead designer. Project Neon is 85 percent finished and scheduled for substantial completion in the summer of 2019.
