Tropicana Avenue Improvement Project Public Meeting September 12 in Las Vegas

WHAT: The Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT) is holding a public information meeting about planned East Tropicana Avenue (State Route 593) improvements between Las Vegas Boulevard and Boulder Highway, including an updated road surface, reconfigured median islands, enhanced lighting, and improved handicap accessibility with sidewalks and ramps. The meeting will inform the traveling public about the project scope and details as well as lane restrictions and travel impacts.  

WHEN: 4-7 p.m., Wednesday, September 12, 2018. A presentation will be made at 5:30 p.m., followed by a brief question and answer period. The meeting will be conducted open house style with displays, maps and project staff.

WHERE: Cambridge Community Center, 3930 Cambridge Street, Las Vegas, Nevada 89119.

WHY: This project will address increased vehicle and pedestrian travel in a mature urban corridor, improving operational efficiency and enhancing safety.  

WHO: The public is encouraged to attend. Comments may be submitted for the public record in writing at the meeting or verbally to a court reporter who will be present at the meeting. (A Spanish translator will be available during the meeting). Written or emailed comments will be accepted through 5 p.m., Friday, September 28, 2018.
