I-15 Lane, Ramp Closures at U.S. 93 Nightly August 6-8 in Clark County
CLARK COUNTY, NEV. – The Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT) will close the Interstate 15 on and offramps at U.S. Highway 93 (near Apex Industrial Park) in Clark County from 7 p.m., August 6, until 7 a.m., and again from 7 p.m., August 7, until 7 a.m., August 8. The outside lane of Interstate 15 southbound at U.S. Highway 93 will also be closed during the previously stated dates and times.
The overnight night closures are needed for ramp paving as part of a new $58 million Interstate 15 U.S. Highway 93 Garnet interchange that broke ground earlier this year. Ames Construction is the design-build general contractor, with Horrocks Engineers as lead designer.
Plans call for building a modified diverging diamond interchange, plus widening U.S. Highway 93 from a two-lane highway to a four-lane divided highway for five miles from the new Garnet Interchange to just north of Apex Power Parkway, among other improvements. The project should reach substantial completion by December.
Motorists should use caution while travelling through the work zone, heed construction signage, and take alternate detour routes, if possible. NDOT works with Waze to inform the public about planned highway restrictions, but unscheduled construction changes, closures and restrictions are possible due to weather or other factors.
