I-15 / 215 Beltway Nightly Ramp Closures May 30-June 1 in North Las Vegas

Post Date:05/29/2018 10:00 AM

NORTH LAS VEGAS, NEV. – The Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT) will close the southbound Interstate 15 to 215 Beltway on and offramps from 8 p.m., May 30, until 5 a.m., May 31, and again from 8 p.m., May 31, until 5 a.m., June 1, in North Las Vegas.

The temporary closures are needed for open grade paving as part of a nearly $34 million 5-mile-long Interstate 15 widening project between Craig Road and Speedway Boulevard in North Las Vegas. Las Vegas Paving is the general contractor. The project is expanding the highway from four to six travel lanes, plus making drainage improvements and widening four overpass structures at Range Road and the Union Pacific Railroad tracks. Construction is scheduled to finish in mid-June.

Motorists should use caution while travelling through the work zone, heed construction signage, and take alternate detour routes, if possible. NDOT works with Waze to inform the public about planned highway restrictions, but unscheduled construction changes, closures and restrictions are possible due to weather or other factors. For the latest state highway conditions, visit nvroads.com or call 511 before driving.
