I-15 / 215 Beltway Ramp Closures Thursday Night in North Las Vegas
NORTH LAS VEGAS, NEV. – The Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT) will close the northbound Interstate 15 to westbound 215 Beltway off-ramp and eastbound 215 Beltway to northbound Interstate 15 onramp from 9 p.m., May 3, until 5 a.m., May 4, in North Las Vegas.
The temporary closures are needed to move the guardrail for upcoming open grade paving operations as part of a nearly $34 million 5-mile-long Interstate 15 widening project between Craig Road and Speedway Boulevard in North Las Vegas. Las Vegas Paving is the general contractor. The project is expanding the highway from four to six travel lanes, plus making drainage improvements and widening four overpass structures at Range Road and the Union Pacific Railroad tracks. Construction is scheduled to finish in mid-June.
Motorists should use caution while travelling through the work zone, heed construction signage, and take alternate detour routes, if possible. NDOT works with Waze to inform the public about planned highway restrictions, but unscheduled construction changes, closures and restrictions are possible due to weather or other factors.
