I-15 Southbound Lane Realignment at Starr Avenue Thursday Evening in Clark County
CLARK COUNTY, NEV. – The Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT) will temporarily realign southbound Interstate 15 at Starr Avenue onto a temporary three-lane detour road beginning at 9 p.m., April 5, in unincorporated Clark County. It will stay in place for 12 months. The temporary traffic shift is needed for construction of the new $34 million Interstate 15 Starr Avenue interchange, which broke ground in November. Las Vegas Paving is the general contractor. The interchange will be located one mile south of the Cactus Avenue interchange and one mile north of the St. Rose Parkway interchange, relieving congestion at both locations for improved traffic circulation while providing capacity for future growth. The project is scheduled to finish in mid-2019.
Motorists should use caution while travelling through the work zone, heed construction signage, and take alternate detour routes, if possible. NDOT works with Waze to inform the public about planned highway restrictions, but unscheduled construction changes, closures and restrictions are possible due to weather or other factors.
