Lanes Closed on Southbound U.S. 395 in North Reno for Road Maintenance
CARSON CITY, Nev. – One lane of southbound U.S. 395 in northern Reno will be closed Saturday, Jan. 6 for roadside drainage improvements.
The left-hand, or fast lane of southbound U.S. 395 will be closed between the Panther Valley area and East Parr Boulevard Saturday, Jan. 6 from approximately 6 am to 4 pm. NDOT roadway maintenance crews will grade the roadway median for enhanced roadside drainage. The road work is scheduled for the weekend to avoid impacting heavy commute traffic. Work is subject to change based on weather.
Currently, NDOT is also installing freeway ramp meters, electronic freeway message boards and more to enhance traffic flow and safety on U.S. 395 through the North Valleys. Through the next five years, NDOT will repave and add additional designated merging lanes between freeway ramps on both directions of U.S. 395 from McCarran Boulevard to Lemmon Drive, as well as add an additional southbound travel lane. The Clear Acre Lane to southbound U.S. 395 ramp well also be extended.
