Range Road Closed for Bridge Upgrades July 10 and July 12-14 in North Las Vegas
NORTH LAS VEGAS, NEV. – The Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT) will be closing Range Road between E. Tropical Parkway and El Campo Grande Avenue in North Las Vegas from 2 a.m. until 5 a.m., July 10, and again from 2 a.m. until 5 a.m., July 12 through July 14. The temporary closures are needed for bridge improvements as part of a $33.8 million 4.8-mile-long widening of Interstate 15 between Craig Road and Speedway Boulevard, which broke ground last year.
The project is expanding the highway from four to six travel lanes, plus install new lighting, signage and landscaping featuring weathered steel art sculptures. Other work calls for drainage improvements as well as widening and seismic upgrades to four overpass structures at Range Road and the Union Pacific Railroad tracks. Las Vegas Paving is the general contractor.
Motorists should use caution while travelling through the work zone, heed construction signage, and take alternate routes, if possible. NDOT works to inform the public about planned highway restrictions, but unscheduled construction changes, closures and restrictions are possible due to weather or other factors.
