The Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT) Environmental Services Procedures Guide has been developed to provide uniform environmental practices for Department and consultant personnel preparing contract plans for Department projects.

The Guide presents much of the information normally required for an environmental study; however, it is impossible to address every situation encountered during the project development process. Therefore, the project design team must exercise good judgment on individual projects and, frequently they must be innovative in their approach to environmental design.

The 2008 NDOT Environmental Services Procedures Guide is available in PDF format. To accommodate various equipment capabilities and individual needs, the document is posted in one complete file and segmented into 28 smaller sections.

This Guide, developed by NDOT's Environmental Services Division with assistance from the engineering consulting firm of Roy Jorgensen Associates, Inc., is an indispensable resource for anyone interested in preparing contract plans for Nevada Department of Transportation projects.
