DURANGO DRIVE INTERCHANGE FACT SHEET

Once completed, the $11,640,555 interchange on US 95 in Las Vegas will greatly enhance traffic flow to and through one of the fastest growing areas in Las Vegas, greatly reducing congestion and improving safety.

The 200-work day project awarded to Frehner Construction Company began in June 2001 and is expected to be complete in April 2002.

This is a diamond interchange designed to handle the expanding traffic needs of the area.

Work on detours at Grand Teton Drive and Horse Drive began in June 2001with completion in August 2001.

Both detours will provide acceleration and deceleration lanes to facilitate traffic movement.

Residents in the area will have the option of using detours at Grand Teton Drive, Horse Drive or Centennial Parkway during construction.

The new interchange will have:

Double left-hand turn movements

Six travel lanes and two turn lanes on Durango Drive over US 95

US 95 will remain four traffic lanes north and southbound at the interchange
