* Construct the Rancho Drive reinforced concrete box storm drain
* Rancho Drive between Mesquite Avenue (south of US 95) to Washington Avenue

Bid Information

Low Bid Determination = A + (B x Daily Cost)= $7,026,418.50
Where: A = Total Amount of Proposal $5,826,418.50
B = Established Working Day Number 120 Days
Daily Cost = ($10,000 X 120) = $1,200,000.00

The above formula was used solely for the purpose of determining the low bidder and has no effect on the actual total bid cost for completing the work.

Project Phasing

Phase 1 – Utility Relocations
* Perform utility relocation evenings between 9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.

Phase 2 – Median Island Removals
*Perform median removals and pavement reconstruction evenings between 9:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m.
*Working days will be suspended after completion of Phase 1 and 2 until January 5, 2004.

Phase 3 – Construct Drainline “RL” and adjacent Rancho Drive Improvements
* Begin after January 5, 2004
* Includes construction of sanitary sewer relocation and deep sewer manhole

* Phase 3A Box-A-Thon
* Begin on a Friday evening at 9:00 and and last for no more than 249 consecutive hours
* Maintain minimum of one lane of travel in each direction on Rancho Drive
* Northbound US 95 off-ramp to Rancho Drive will be closed
* Southbound US 95 off-ramp to Rancho Drive will be limited to right turn only to access Rancho Drive
* No left turn from Rancho Drive to the US 95 on-ramps

* Phase 3B Construct Drainline Box-A-Thon
* Begin immediately following completion of 3A for no more that 192 consecutive hours
* Maintain minimum of one lane of travel in each direction on Rancho Drive
* No left turn from Rancho Drive to southbound US 95 on-ramp
* Northbound US 95 off-ramp to Rancho Drive will be closed
* Southbound US 95 off-ramp to Rancho Drive will be limited to right turn only to access Rancho Drive

* Phase 3C & D Construct Drainline
* Begin immediately following completion of 3B
* Pavement reconstruction and construction of adjacent curbs, drainage inlets, sidewalks and street lights
* Maintain minimum of two lanes of travel in each direction on Rancho Drive
* Additional lane may be taken in work zone between 9:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m.

* Phase 3E Construct Southbound Rancho Drive Improvements
* Cold mill and paving operations eveneings between 9:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m.
* Maintain minimum two northbound travel lanes and one southbound travel lane on Rancho Drive during evening hours
* Maintain two lanes of travel during daylight hours

Phase 4 A & B Construct drainlines and adjacent Washington Avenue Improvements
* Perform work evenings between 9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
* Maintain at least one lane of travel in each direction on Washington Avenue and Rancho Drive
* Restrict left turn movement from eastbound Washington Avenue to northbound Rancho Drive

Phase 4C Construct drainlines and adjacent Washington Avenue Improvements
* Cold mill intersection of Washington Avenue and Rancho Drive
* Perform work evenings between 9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
