In 1983, the Nevada State Legislature established the Scenic Byways program in Nevada. The Nevada Department of Transportation is the lead agency for the program and the Director has signature authority to establish a road as a Scenic Byway. Today, there are 20 scenic byways in Nevada comprising a total of 420 miles.
Through the links on the left, you will find information about what Scenic Byways are, where they are located, the process for nominating byways and applying for funding for Scenic Byways.
