Title: Meeting to Cover Current, Upcoming U.S. 95 Improvements
LAS VEGAS - The Nevada Department of Transportation will a host meeting on Wednesday, May 14, on Phase 3A of the U.S. 95 Northwest Corridor Improvements Project (US 95 NW). The US 95 NW project will increase capacity, alleviate congestion and improve freeway connections for regional connectivity. The meeting will run from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Centennial Hills Active Adult Center, 6601 N. Buffalo Drive. There will be a brief presentation at 5:30 p.m., followed by a short comment and question-and-answer period from the audience. The public is invited to attend.
Purpose of the Meeting: NDOT, in partnership with the City of Las Vegas and Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada (RTCSNV), and in cooperation with the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), will provide information on Phase 3A of the U.S. 95 Northwest Corridor Improvements Project. Scheduled to begin construction in spring 2015, this freeway project will provide immediate operational benefits by building two of the major traffic movements through the U.S. 95 and Clark County 215 (CC-215) Northern Beltway Interchange, including the construction of the northbound U.S. 95 to eastbound CC-215 ramp and a westbound CC-215 to southbound U.S. 95 ramp. The project will also include landscape and aesthetic enhancements. At the meeting, NDOT representatives will also provide updates on Phase 2A of the US 95 NW project, which is currently under construction. Phase 2A stretches from Ann Road to Durango Drive. Improvements include widening U.S. 95 to three general purpose lanes and one High-Occupancy Vehicle (HOV) lane in each direction, auxiliary lanes in each direction and aesthetic improvements. In addition, representatives on hand will provide information on other related projects in the area.

How to Participate: The public information meeting will run from 4-7 p.m. There will be a brief presentation at 5:30 p.m. about the project, followed by a short comment and question-and-answer period from the audience. Conducted as an open house, the meeting will provide the public an opportunity to view displays and ask questions of project representatives. Comments on U.S. 95 NW Phase 3A may be submitted for public record at the meeting in writing on a comment sheet or verbally to a court reporter.
