Title: Bicycle/Pedestrian Topics Highlighted at Bicycle/Pedestrian Conference
Pedestrian and bicycle transportation and safety will be among the topics at the 12th annual Nevada Bicycle and Pedestrian Summit, scheduled for March 11 and 12 at the Atlantis Casino Resort in Reno.
Developed to augment statewide bicycle and pedestrian resources, the summit will provide the latest information on bicycle tourism, facility planning and design, safety, enforcement and education initiatives, Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) accommodations, as well as Safe Routes to School program information.
"This annual conference is truly the state's foremost event for bike and walking enthusiasts, advocates, engineers, administrators, educators and consultants," Nevada Department of Transportation Bicycle/Pedestrian Program Manager Bill Story explained. "People understand that bicycling and walking provide many benefits to health, congestion mitigation and air quality; not to mention finding a parking spot. And this conference provides resources and information to further those benefits in Nevada."
The conference will be held at the Atlantis Casino Resort in Reno, with information and free registration available by calling (775) 888-7727 or e-mailing firstname.lastname@example.org. The conference is presented by the Nevada Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Board and the Nevada Department of Transportation.
