Title: Sky Pointe Drive Closure Extended Two Days to July 11
LAS VEGAS - Sky Pointe Drive
will be closed from Private Drive to New Leaf Avenue an additional two days,
through Thursday, July 11. The original opening date was July 9. The two
additional days are needed to complete paving operations. In addition to
widening a portion of Sky Pointe, the project will include storm drain
improvements, new lighting, sidewalks, landscaping and aesthetics and more.
Message boards are already in place to alert motors to detours. Northbound
traffic on Sky Pointe will detour to Cimarron, then to Sunny Springs.
Southbound traffic on Tule Springs will detour to Sunny Springs, then to
Cimarron. Motorists should heed all traffic control devices.

Established in 1917, the Nevada Department of
Transportation is responsible for the planning, construction, operation and
maintenance of 5,400 miles of highway and more than 1,000 bridges comprising
the state highway system. NDOT's mission is to provide a better transportation
