Title: Project NEON Topic of Neighborhood Public Meetings on Wednesday, Sept. 18
LAS VEGAS - The Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT), in partnership with the City of Las Vegas and in cooperation with the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), is hosting two public meetings on Wednesday, Sept. 18 on Project NEON. Updates will be provided on the project and the public will have the chance to provide comments. Project NEON will improve traffic by separating mainstream freeway traffic from local traffic, enhance safety by making freeway entrance and exits easily accessible and will increase mobility and improve access to downtown Las Vegas. The project extends 3.7 miles along I-15 from Sahara to the U.S. 95/I-15 Interchange and will consist of a High Occupancy Vehicle (HOV) connector between U.S. 95 and I-15, direct HOV access ramps at Wall Street, reconstruction of the Charleston Boulevard Interchange and Grand Central Parkway connector over Charleston Boulevard. Project NEON is essential to the progression of Las Vegas transportation and quality of life.
