The Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT) and Granite Construction will begin switching traffic to the 2012 construction configuration the weekend of February 10, 2012 on the $72 million Design-Build Project from Robb Drive to Vista Boulevard, weather permitting. The I-80 eastbound Wells Avenue on and off ramps will be closed 24-hours-a-day, seven-days-a-week for approximately five months, weather permitting. The shift will occur in two phases. The first phase will shift I-80 eastbound traffic to I-80 westbound from Keystone Avenue to Wells Avenue the weekend of February 10, 2012. I-80 eastbound and westbound will be two lanes from Fourth Street to Keystone Avenue. The second phase will shift traffic from Wells Avenue to Fourth Street the weekend of March 2, 2012.

Suggested Alternate Routes
I-80 eastbound Wells Ave. on-ramp closure use Fourth St. on-ramp
Motorists are encouraged to take Wells Ave. south to Sixth St. and east to Fourth St.
I-80 eastbound Wells Ave. off-ramp closure use Virginia St. off-ramp.
Motorists are encouraged to use the Sierra St. exit south to Sixth St.
I-80 eastbound Fourth St. off-ramp.
Motorists are encouraged to take I-80 east to US 395 south; exit Second St. west to Kietzke Ln.; Kietzke Ln. north to Fourth St.
Fourth St. I-80 eastbound off-ramp alternate route from NB US 395.
Motorists are encouraged to take NB US 395 north to I-80 east; to Rock Blvd. north to Prater Way/ Fourth St.
Fourth St. I-80 westbound on-ramp closures use Wells Ave. on-ramp
Motorists are encouraged to take Fourth St. west to Sixth St. and north to Wells Avenue.

The estimated $72 million I-80 Design-Build Project includes pavement rehabilitation on approximately 40-year-old concrete between Keystone Avenue and Fourth Street, as well as installing Intelligent Transportation System (ITS), signing and striping, drainage and ramp improvements and landscaping and aesthetics enhancements on I-80 between Robb Drive and Vista Boulevard. The project is expected to complete in Fall 2012.
