The Glendale Avenue on and off-ramps to U.S. 395 northbound will be closed for two weeks beginning Sunday, August 15, at midnight, according to the Nevada Department of Transportation.

Motorists travelling on U.S. 395 northbound are advised to use the Mill Street on and off-ramps as a detour.

The closure is part of a $31.5 million project, awarded to Granite Construction Co., to widen U.S. 395 northbound from Moana Lane to the Spaghetti Bowl. The project is expected to be completed by fall of 2011.

The speed limit has been reduced to 55 mph and motorists are advised to slow down and use caution when travelling through the work zone.
