May 12, 2010
Pyramid Way in both directions will be closed to traffic from “C” Street to Oddie Boulevard beginning at 8 p.m. Friday, May 14th until 6 a.m. Monday, May 17th, as the Nevada Department of Transportation starts a major paving project.
All cross streets including Prater Way will be closed to traffic across Pyramid Way.
Then on Monday, May 17th at 6 a.m. the southbound lanes of Pyramid Way will open to one lane while the northbound lanes from “C” Street to North McCarran Boulevard will be closed until 6 a.m. Friday, May 21st. All cross streets including the Oddie and Greenbrae Boulevard intersections will be closed to cross traffic. Flaggers will direct traffic and detours will be available.
In early June, crews will begin putting the final layer of paving, or open grade, on both the Pyramid Way north and southbound lanes from “C” Street to North McCarran Boulevard when weather permits. Motorists can expect minor delays as traffic is reduced to one lane in each direction.
The $1.7 million project, awarded to Q & D Construction, is expected to be completed in mid-June.
