Northbound I-15 Flyover to Northbound U.S. 95 will be Restricted to One Lane Nightly through April 28

Construction on New HOV Flyover Begins Tonight

LAS VEGAS, Nev. – Project Neon crews will begin installing rebar cages and piers for the new high-occupancy vehicle flyover tonight, prompting the closure of one lane on the ramp from Interstate 15 north to U.S. Hwy. 95 north, according to the Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT).

The closed lane will alternate depending on where crews are working below in the Spaghetti Bowl. The lane restrictions will be in place between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. nightly.

The HOV flyover is a significant feature of Project Neon, a nearly $1 billion 3.7-mile-long widening of Interstate 15 from the U.S. 95 interchange to Sahara Avenue.

Motorists should use caution while travelling through the work zone, heed construction signage, and take alternate routes, if possible. Check the Project Neon website (NDOTProjectNeon.com) or Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter pages (@NDOTProjectNeon) for up to date information. There is also a mobile app and a telephone hotline available in both English and Spanish at: 702-293-NEON (6366). The Project Neon public information office is located at 320 Wall Street, Las Vegas, 89102.

NDOT works to inform the public about planned highway restrictions, but unscheduled construction changes, closures and restrictions are possible due to weather or other factors. For the latest state highway conditions, visit nvroads.com or call 511 before driving.
